Job summary
Manpower is seeking a Project Design Engineer in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear to join our engineering team and support delivery of industrial hydraulic projects from initial customer requirements through to design, manufacture, testing, commissioning and final project completion.
The successful candidate will have experience in hydraulic, mechanical and electrical/control systems, with CAD drawing production (Autodesk Inventor preferred) and the ability to work with suppliers and customers to meet
Qualifications
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience with hydraulic, mechanical and electrical/control systems
- Experience producing hydraulic schematics
- Experience designing industrial hydraulic systems
Responsibilities
- Review customer requirements and develop engineering solutions.
- Produce drawings, hydraulic schematics and technical documentation.
- Carry out engineering calculations and select components.
- Prepare technical specifications and support quotations.
- Work with suppliers and subcontractors to support project delivery.
- Identify risks and maintain deadlines.
- Attend workshops and customer sites as required.
- Support testing and commissioning activities.
