Job summary

Baker Hughes Company in the United Kingdom seeks a Mechanical Technician to support assembly, testing, and delivery of hydraulic control units and related equipment. You will follow engineering drawings and work instructions to ensure products meet quality, safety, and performance standards.

Will work in a full-time workshop-based environment, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality products.

Qualifications

• Recognized qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance or related field.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and schematics.
• Experience working with hydraulic systems and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble hydraulic systems, control units and components.
• Build and test valves and related equipment to spec.
• Perform flushing, pressure testing and inspection activities.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics and work instructions.
• Use hand tools and measuring equipment safely and effectively.
• Identify and report quality issues per procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe workshop environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
