Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Belfast is seeking a Hydraulic Modeller to join our Wastewater Team. You will develop computer models to investigate flooding and environmental problems and generate outline solutions.

You will build, verify and analyse hydraulic sewer models, develop 1D and 2D models, handle data, use MapInfo and ArcGIS, and contribute to reports and surveys while supporting junior colleagues. This role offers a hybrid working culture with training opportunities and career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in wastewater modelling using InfoWorks ICM.
• Proficient with GIS data handling and reporting.
• Willingness to learn and pursue professional qualification.

Responsibilities

• Develop computer models to investigate flooding and environmental problems.
• Build, verify and analyse hydraulic sewer models outputs.
• Develop 1D and 2D models to investigate flood risk and mechanisms.
• Data handling and analysis to support project decisions.
• Use GIS software (MapInfo, ArcGIS) to support understanding of problems.
• Develop reports and other project deliverables; assist junior team members.
