Job summary

Fusion People Ltd is seeking an experienced Hydraulic Fitter for their Dungannon site to join the production team. You will assemble, test and commission ground support equipment, ensuring quality, safety and workmanship.

This permanent role operates 7am-4.20pm Monday to Thursday and 7am-12.30 Friday with company benefits; you will read engineering drawings, work with design teams for improvements and help meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Experience as Hydraulic Fitter or similar hydraulic assembly role.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and components.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and build ground support equipment using mechanical and hydraulic principles.
• Conduct testing, setup, and commissioning of hydraulic systems including pressure/flow tests.
• Collaborate with design/product teams to implement improvements.
• Aim for production targets while maintaining high quality standards.
• Safely handle and move components throughout the manufacturing process.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and team performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, site regulations and ISO 9001.

The Role

Person Specification

Essential Skills and Experience

• Previous experience as a Hydraulic Fitter or in a similar hydraulic assembly role.
• Experience installing and fitting hydraulic systems on vehicles, machinery, or equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and components.
• Knowledge of hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, valves, and associated equipment.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
• Good communication skills with the ability to effectively report issues and collaborate with colleagues.
