Job summary

American Society of Civil Engineers in Aberdeen is seeking a Hydraulic Design Engineer with a background in hydraulic systems and deck equipment for a varied, hands-on role within an engineering consultancy that serves global energy sectors.

You will lead design and delivery of hydraulic projects from specification through manufacture and testing, collaborate with the engineering team and offshore personnel, and ensure technical integrity while developing best practices.

Qualifications

• Technically competent in generating, reading, interpreting and following hydraulic schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Design new hydraulic systems and electro-hydraulic equipment for rental equipment and external clients.
• Work closely with the wider Engineering Team, Hydraulic Workshop personnel and offshore teams.
• Ensure project documentation, procedures and associated work instructions are developed and defined.
• Manage hydraulic budgets associated with the wider project work scope.

Are you a Hydraulic Design Engineer with a background in the oil and gas industry, industrial lifting equipment or deck machinery, looking for a varied and hands-on role within an Engineering Consultancy that supplies tailored solutions, equipment and personnel packages for the global energy sectors?

Are you looking to become immersed as an integral part of the Design Team, where you will be responsible for the delivery of hydraulic projects from initial specification and kick-off through the engineering, manufacture, assembly and testing phases, through to final delivery or execution

On offer is the opportunity to work within a close-knit design team, where you will play a key role in ensuring the technical integrity of hydraulic projects, drawing on your technical experience to develop best practice and provide high levels of technical guidance across hydraulic engineering activities.

The Role:
