Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Hydraulic Design Engineer to lead hydraulic projects from initial specification through engineering, manufacture, assembly and testing to final delivery. The role emphasizes delivering robust hydraulic solutions and supporting deck equipment and rental hydro-mechanical systems.

You will work within a close-knit design team, ensuring technical integrity across hydraulic activities, and collaborate with offshore teams to meet client needs in the energy sector.

Qualifications

• Technically competent in generating, reading, interpreting and following hydraulic schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project documentation, procedures and associated work instructions are developed and defined.
• Manage hydraulic budgets associated with the wider project work scope.
• Design new hydraulic systems and electro-hydraulic equipment for rental equipment and external clients.
• Work closely with the wider Engineering Team, Hydraulic Workshop personnel and offshore teams.
