Job summary

Anglian Water is seeking a Sampling Scheduler to plan and coordinate the sampling programme across treatment works and sites. You will operate scheduling systems to ensure sampling events are scheduled to meet regulatory and business requirements, and you will liaise with Sampling Managers to align workflow and resources proactively and dynamically.

The role offers hybrid working with some office-based time in Huntingdon, 37 hours per week, permanent full-time employment.

• Knowledge and experience sufficient to resolve complex technical problems.
• Able to troubleshoot, resolve and minimise issues.
• Able to analyse, compare, interpret, and make judgements.
• Able to work to deadlines and prioritise workloads.
• Understand customer requirements and how customers use our analytical data.
• Able to effectively communicate at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Participate in sample scheduling as required and maintain a broad technical understanding of methods in your area of responsibility.
• Demonstrate flexible working to ensure that all samples are scheduled as planned, providing team cover as required.
• Demonstrate delivery of an effective and efficient service whilst maximising team flexibility.
• Participate in operational rotas and work schedules in line with business needs.
• Demonstrate excellent communication with Sampling Managers and Samplers to ensure all unplanned absence is captured and the sampling schedule is updated to ensure all samples are accounted for e.g. sickness cover, and vehicle breakdowns.
• Support the Sampling Managers to ensure all planned absence is captured by the scheduling team and agreed weekly prior to approval e.g. annual leave.
