Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Principal Consultant in Regulatory Advice to lead high-impact engagements across water, energy and infrastructure.

Based in the UK with hybrid working, you will guide strategy, governance and performance commitments while mentoring colleagues and growing client relationships. You will deliver proposals, manage stakeholders at senior levels, and drive solutions through complex regulatory challenges, aiming for sustainable outcomes and business

Qualifications

• Experience in a senior regulatory role within regulated water/energy sectors.
• Experience with Price Review/revenue-setting processes (AMP cycles, multi-year determinations).
• Familiarity with assurance standards and defence concepts (three lines of defence, ISAE 3000).
• Strong knowledge of regulation policy and strategy.
• Knowledge of cost modelling, benchmarking, or business case appraisal.
• Track record of winning work (proposal writing, account development).
• Excellent written communication for regulator/board audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of high-impact regulatory advisory engagements.
• Provide strategic, economic, and governance advice on regulatory frameworks and performance commitments.
• Engage, mentor and develop junior team members; support business growth through thought leadership.
• Support development and delivery of programmes, projects and technical outputs.
• Progress career and qualifications; work with clients across the UK.
