Job summary

Argus Media is seeking an experienced Global Payroll Officer on a 6-month fixed-term contract to lead UK payroll processing. You will own end-to-end UK payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance and on-time submissions while partnering with HR, Finance and external providers.

You will also support international payroll processing, drive process improvements, and maintain payroll controls and documentation. A hands-on, detail-oriented professional with strong stakeholder skills is needed for this

Qualifications

• Significant UK payroll experience with end-to-end processing.
• Exposure to international payrolls (Europe/APAC) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, NI, auto-enrolment.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly UK payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Act as the primary UK payroll contact for HR, Finance and employees.
• Support global payroll managers with international payrolls, especially Europe and APAC.
• Review payroll inputs: starters, leavers, changes, bonuses, benefits, and other pay elements.
• Perform payroll control reviews and reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Oversee payroll records and compliance with UK legislation.
