Job summary

WPP Media Limited in London seeks a Director of Media Solutions for Engineering to lead a high-performance engineering team delivering scalable, data-driven media solutions. You’ll set standards, mentor engineers, and drive architectural alignment with global patterns.

Qualifications

• Experience with C# / .NET Core, TypeScript, and React (Next.js / Remix).
• Good grasp of relational database design and API development.
• Practical experience deploying to Azure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Familiarity with headless CMS and composable architectures.
• Passion for building accessible, performant, secure, user-centred products.

Responsibilities

• Technical leadership for the Media Solutions engineering team; set standards, designs patterns, and delivery practices; mentor engineers; own technical risk and quality gates.
• Align solution design with architecture patterns; align work to roadmap set by platforms operations lead.
• Lead software engineering team best practices, leadership and people management.
• Design, build, and evolve modern digital products using C#, TypeScript, and React (Next.js and Remix).
• Develop APIs and backend services using .NET Core and relational databases.
• Build cloud infrastructure in AWS or Azure using Terraform.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps to automate build and deployment processes.
• Work with Product, UX, Strategy, and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Integrate with headless SaaS tools like Contentful, DatoCMS, Prismic, Algolia.
