Job summary

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, London, is seeking an experienced Risk Underwriter to manage a diverse credit risk portfolio. You will assess credit limits, analyze financials, and present nuanced underwriting recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

The role offers significant exposure to complex risks, cross-functional collaboration with Commercial and Broker teams, and a hybrid in-office work model three days per week. Prior credit insurance knowledge is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of the Credit Insurance market or related financial services.
• Experience assessing corporate credit or default risk preferred.
• Strong financial analysis skills and interpretation of company accounts and cash flow.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of risks with robust credit risk analysis.
• Assess and respond to credit limit requests with clear underwriting rationale.
• Analyze financial statements, liquidity, leverage and profitability.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Balance risk appetite with profitable growth and customer retention.
