Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Town Planner for a permanent role in Bristol. You will prepare planning applications, provide advice to clients, and engage with authorities and stakeholders. The position requires a good UK planning background and strong communication skills.

You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, balancing priorities and deadlines while developing policy interpretations and reports. The role offers hybrid working, development opportunities, and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Town Planning or related discipline.
• Experience in planning consultancy, local authority or property environment.
• Understanding of the UK planning system and policy framework.
• Experience contributing to planning applications is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication and research skills.
• Excellent organisation and ability to manage priorities.
• Commercial mindset with an interest in property and development.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and support submission of planning applications, appeals, and pre-apps.
• Undertake planning appraisals and provide client planning advice.
• Research planning policy and relevant legislation.
• Liaise with local authorities, consultees, consultants and stakeholders.
• Assist negotiations with planning officers and third parties.
• Attend site visits, meetings, consultations and planning committees as needed.
• Prepare concise planning reports, statements and representations.
• Interpret policy data to support recommendations and advice.
• Manage tasks and projects to deadlines and quality standards.
