Job summary

World Class Defence Organisation is seeking a Test Equipment Design Support Engineer / Test Development Engineer on a 6‑month contract in Stevenage. The role is hybrid, with 50/50 time spent onsite and remote, and requires expertise in test equipment hardware design.

The successful candidate will work in the Test Equipment Centre of Excellence, developing designs, performing testing and documenting processes to support product lifecycle and bid opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in hardware design for test equipment.
• Proven ability to test, validate and qualify test systems.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specifications and develop designs for test system hardware.
• Define and specify test approaches; identify improvements to test processes.
• Carry out design appraisals to ensure standards are met.
• Support budget management and team member development.
• Provide documentation to support in-service use of products.
