World Class Defence Organisation is seeking a Test Design Support Engineer on a 6-month contract in Bolton with hybrid/remote options. The role focuses on interface between design and manufacturing, supporting production and missile subsystem projects, and delivering robust test solutions.
Ideal candidates hold a degree with experience across digital/analog electronics, power electronics, RF/antenna, and test systems. Strong communication and autonomous delivery are valued.
World Class Defence Organisation is currently looking to recruit a Test Design Support Engineer subcontractor on an initial 6 month contract. This role would suit a candidate who comes from an Electronics Design Engineer, Electronics Engineer, Production Support Engineer or Test Systems Designer background.
Rate: £65.00 per hour
Location: Bolton
Hybrid / Remote working: 4-5 days a week onsite (possible for remote work occasionally).
Compressed week of working Monday to Thursday is available.
Contract: 37 Hours per week
Overtime: Hours worked over 37 hours per week will be calculated at ‘time and a quarter’
Duration: 6 Months (initially and then ongoing and long-term thereafter)
IR35 status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella)

The department have an excellent opportunity for experienced Electronic Design Engineers to play a leading role in the support of production activities at their state of the art manufacturing facilities.
Working within Production Design Support (PDS) is a highly rewarding role as you not only see designs coming to life in the manufacturing environment but you can help to shape the design of the products and test equipment, delivering support to our customers.
You will act as the interface between our design teams and our manufacturing teams while working alongside other support engineers to provide knowledge and support.
Whilst the primary aim is focused on highly advanced module missile programmes and subsystems, there is also scope to work on other unique opportunities including support to launcher assemblies.
The role offers the candidate a true engineering challenge in their core discipline(s), whilst providing scope for personal growth and development in other areas of electronics.
To be suitable for this role, Individuals will be able to demonstrate a number of the following attributes:
