ABL Recruitment is seeking a Technical Business Analyst for a major bank in London. The role sits at the crossroads of business and technology, focusing on automation, data analysis and improving banking systems within a fintech context.

You will gather requirements, translate them into technical specs and work with developers, infrastructure teams and external stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions. Hybrid working arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years' experience in a Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Application Support Analyst, Technical Support, Data Analyst or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business requirements, translating them into detailed technical specifications.
• Conduct impact assessments, workflow analysis and solution design activities.
• Act as the primary liaison between business users, developers, infrastructure teams and external stakeholders.
• Develop Python scripts and automation tools to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Perform SQL-based data analysis, reporting and data validation activities.
• Support application testing, system upgrades and software releases.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve application and software-related issues.
• Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Network and Desktop Support teams to deliver end-to-end technology solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for automation and process optimisation.
