Job summary

Janus Henderson Investors is seeking a governance, risk and compliance professional to support technology risk identification, assessment and reporting. You will help ensure technology controls are properly designed and operating, coordinate evidence requests and support regulatory, audit and assurance activities.

The role emphasizes collaboration across Technology, Risk, Compliance, Information Security and Audit, with hybrid working and opportunities for professional development and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in technology governance, risk and compliance, IT risk, IT audit, control assurance, operational risk, information security or related field.
• Good working knowledge of technology risks, IT controls, control assurance techniques and risk and control assessment methodologies.
• Experience supporting assurance, regulatory, audit, risk assessment or control review activity.
• Ability to review evidence, identify exceptions and document clear, balanced conclusions.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with sound judgement for risk assessment and improvement opportunities.
• Clear written and verbal communication, capable of explaining risk to diverse stakeholders.
• Collaborative approach across Technology, Risk, Compliance, Information Security and Audit.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain organised documentation.
• Ability to analyse information from multiple sources and produce concise reporting for management.

Responsibilities

• Support the identification, assessment, documentation and reporting of technology risks, issues and control weaknesses.
• Help assess whether key technology controls are designed and operating effectively, reviewing evidence and documenting conclusions.
• Undertake gap analysis against policies, standards, regulatory requirements and control expectations to strengthen controls.
• Work with control owners and technology teams to investigate exceptions and track remediation to closure.
• Support regulatory, audit and assurance activity by coordinating evidence requests and stakeholder responses.
• Contribute to governance, risk and compliance procedures, testing approaches, evidence standards and oversight of areas such as End User Developed Applications.
• Prepare clear reporting on technology risks, control effectiveness and remediation progress for management.
• Support governance forums by coordinating inputs and tracking actions.
• Promote governance, risk awareness, control discipline and continuous improvement across Technology.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
