Job summary

Amentum Defence and Security is seeking Systems Engineers to join a UK-based team; the role allows the majority of work from home with 1-2 days in the Reading/Theale office and occasional site visits.

You will work across MoD, Nuclear New Build, and decommissioning programmes, applying systems engineering throughout the lifecycle and collaborating with project teams to deliver engineered solutions with integrity.

Qualifications

• Experience in Systems Engineering activities in a complex, safety-focused and regulated organisation.
• Ideally within the UK MoD, or a similar regulated environment.
• Holistic approach to Systems Engineering and general Engineering activities.
• Delivery-focused with an enthusiasm to make a positive difference.
• Demonstrable experience of change management and adapting to emerging requirements.

Responsibilities

• Steer the Systems Engineering principles and processes through project approvals.
• Provide SME advice to stakeholders and project teams regarding SE processes.
• Capture, validate and manage project requirements and V&V strategy and planning.
• Ensure consistency in user, system, design and safety requirements capture and tracking.
• Provide SME advice and responsibility for interface management of systems.
• Plan, develop, update SE artefacts (ConOps, RAMS, URDs, SRDs, VVRMs, ITEAPs).
• Prepare presentations and represent SE in stakeholder meetings.
