Job summary

Virgin Atlantic is seeking a Structures Engineer to join the Structures team at London Heathrow. You will manage continued airworthiness, assess repairs and develop engineering solutions to keep fleets safe and compliant.

This role requires an engineering degree or HND, or a CAA/EASA B1 Licence, with experience in CAMO, Part 21 design or related repair environments. You will collaborate across Engineering and Maintenance Control to deliver robust, safe outcomes.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or HND in aviation discipline, or equivalent.
• Experience in airline, CAMO, design organisation or repair environment.
• Knowledge of Part 21 design approval and continued airworthiness.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist structural engineering support for defects and AOG events.
• Produce repairs, modifications and design instructions per Part 21 procedures.
• Review fleet performance and maintenance data to improve reliability.
• Support maintenance policies to balance safety and costs.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance Control, Part 145 and suppliers.
• Potential to join out-of-hours technical support as experience grows.
