Job summary

BakerHicks Limited in Motherwell is seeking a Contract Structural Engineer to support delivery of complex building projects on a hybrid basis.

You will work across projects, delivering structural design packages, coordinating with design teams, and ensuring alignment with UK standards and client requirements. The role requires independence and strong structural capability for ongoing project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with a structural bias.
• Proven UK project experience on building structures.
• Strong analysis and design capability with knowledge of UK codes.

Responsibilities

• Produce and review structural calculations, specs and reports.
• Deliver design solutions for steel, concrete and masonry.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for project success.
• Support delivery from concept through detailed design.
• Manage own workload and deliver outputs on time.
• Support design reviews and ensure code compliance.
