Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a mid-weight designer to plan and deliver commercial and operational designs for all John Lewis formats, enhancing the customer journey and shopping experience. You will create store interior architecture across customer-facing areas in line with JL&P brand guidelines.

The role is based at the London Head Office in Pimlico with hybrid working. A portfolio of work is required, with travel to branches as needed and DBS checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven store planning/interiors design experience.
• Excellent AutoCAD/Adobe CC/SketchUp and 3D visualisation skills.
• Strong design detail and creativity.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop store plans and interior designs aligned with JL&Ps brand guidelines.
• Ensure project timescales are met and designs approved by stakeholders.
• Collaborate with briefs, concept design, and detailed store plans with key stakeholders.
• Support portfolio of projects across departments.
• Set up stakeholder meetings and manage briefs with internal/external teams.
• Invest in personal and professional development and adapt to change.
