Job summary

Placements24 is partnering with a leading sports organisation in Randburg to appoint a strategic Sports Partnership Manager. You will identify opportunities, build long-term collaborations, and drive brand visibility through strategic sponsorships.

Hybrid role requiring excellence in negotiation, stakeholder management, and compelling proposals. You will work with marketing, sales, and events teams to activate partnerships and measure ROI across the sports ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years in partnership management, business development, or sports marketing/sponsorship.
• Proven track record of identifying, negotiating, and managing strategic partnerships.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prospect potential strategic partners within the sports ecosystem (teams, leagues, federations, brands).
• Develop compelling proposals and presentations to showcase partnership opportunities and mutual benefits.
• Negotiate and close partnership agreements with favorable terms.
• Manage and nurture existing partner relationships and communications.
• Develop and execute joint marketing and activation plans with partners to maximize ROI.
• Monitor industry trends and identify emerging partnership opportunities.
• Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
• Collaborate with internal marketing, sales, and communications teams for seamless collaboration.
• Track and report on partnership performance and provide optimization insights.
• Stay informed about the evolving landscape of sports marketing and sponsorship.
