Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland in Stirling is seeking an experienced Solar PV Design Engineer to join our Renewables team. You will deliver cost-effective, technically robust solar solutions for commercial PV systems and perform feasibility studies and energy-yield assessments.

You will develop designs using PV*SOL, PVSyst and PVCase, create single-line diagrams and layouts, and visit sites to assess connections and equipment. Hybrid working is available as per departmental needs.

Qualifications

• Experience designing commercial Solar PV projects.
• Proficiency with PV design software and tools.
• Knowledge of G99/G100 and electrical regulations.

Responsibilities

• Undertake initial feasibility studies and energy-yield assessments.
• Develop commercial Solar PV designs using PV*SOL, PVSyst and PVCase.
• Produce technical drawings including single-line diagrams and layouts.
• Carry out site visits for connections and equipment requirements.
• Support pricing, tenders and quotations.
• Submit Distribution Network Operator applications.
• Develop designs through to construction.
• Review software outputs for compliance and viability.
• Collaborate with Renewables teams.
