Job summary

ZEISS is seeking four Software Testers in Cambourne, hybrid. Join a world-leading engineering and scientific organisation to design, execute, and maintain test plans for Windows desktop applications.

You will perform manual and automated testing, validate releases, and collaborate with developers across the full development cycle. Ideal candidates hold a CS/Software Engineering degree with experience in QA roles, and familiarity with C#, Git, and automation tools.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience as Software Tester, QA Engineer, or Software Quality role.
• Experience testing Windows-based software applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain software test plans and test cases.
• Perform manual and automated testing of Windows desktop applications.
• Validate software releases for new and existing products.
• Carry out installation, deployment, compatibility, and integration testing.
• Identify, investigate, and document software defects.
• Work closely with software developers and engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support the development and improvement of automated testing frameworks.
• Contribute to Agile development processes and sprint activities.
• Drive continuous improvement within software quality and testing processes.
• Ensure products meet quality, performance, and reliability standards.
