Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is offering a Software Engineering Placement for penultimate-year students. You will design, build and maintain applications, platforms and digital services used by millions of customers and colleagues.

You'll work with Java, Python, TypeScript, Kotlin, Swift, Rust and Golang on cloud development, automation and testing, gaining real responsibility from day one in a supportive, learning-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Be in your penultimate year at university.
• Demonstrate sound knowledge, understanding and technical skills aligned to the role.
• Knowledge of at least one modern programming language or framework.
• Genuine passion for technology and the drive to keep learning.

Responsibilities

• Work with experienced engineers, product teams, architects and tech specialists to build software that makes a real difference for customers and colleagues.
• Get stuck into coding with languages like Java, Python, TypeScript, Kotlin, Swift, Rust and Golang.
• Learn how modern engineering works in practice, from cloud development and automation to continuous testing.
• Help improve the apps, digital journeys, APIs, AI-enabled tools and platforms that people across the bank rely on every day.
