Job summary

GSF Car Parts in Wolverhampton is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join a collaborative team. You will develop web applications using Next.js/React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and C#, and own features end-to-end from design to deployment.

You should have 3+ years of commercial experience, strong SQL (MySQL), and familiarity with Git workflows. Hybrid role with three days in the office and two at home.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' commercial experience as a software engineer/developer.
• Strong practical experience with Next.js/React for web development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and C#.
• Experience designing and working with MySQL databases, including writing performant queries.
• Confidence working with version control systems (Git) in a team workflow.
• A portfolio or track record demonstrating relevant projects and skills.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using Next.js/React, focusing on performance and scalability.
• Design and build integrations between applications, APIs, and databases, particularly using MySQL.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code using JavaScript, TypeScript, and C#.
• Take ownership of features from design through to deployment and support.
• Participate actively in code reviews both giving and receiving constructive feedback.
• Support and mentor more junior members of the team where appropriate.
• Report to and work closely with the Lead Software Engineer to meet project goals and timelines.
