Job summary

University of Cambridge is seeking a highly motivated Software Developer to join the Centre for Cancer Genetic Epidemiology within the Department of Public Health and Primary Care. You will design, develop and maintain software across research and clinical-translation projects, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and external suppliers.

You will lead scoping, coordination and delivery of technology projects, engage with stakeholders, and contribute to software roadmaps and regulatory

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent knowledge gained through experience and professional qualifications.
• Strong software engineering skills across the development lifecycle, with experience in writing maintainable, well-documented code.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain front-end web interfaces, back-end web servers and APIs.
• Gather stakeholder requirements and investigate, prototype and evaluate solutions.
• Maintain and deploy web applications, write tests and produce clear technical documentation.
• Co-lead user support and contribute to quality and regulatory-compliance activities for relevant software products.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute advice on software roadmaps and technical direction.
