Suffolk County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker for its Adoption and Kinship Team. You will undertake Kinship Assessments, produce court-quality reports, and contribute to permanence planning. The role offers flexible hybrid working, with home-based days and visiting prospective carers across the region.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Experience in Children's Social Care, including Kinship, Fostering, Adoption or Permanence services.
• Strong assessment and report-writing skills.
• Experience preparing court-quality reports and contributing to care planning.
• Ability to work independently while managing a varied caseload.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Aufgaben

• Undertake Kinship Assessments of prospective kinship carers in home environments.
• Produce high-quality assessments, reports, and recommendations for decision-making and court care planning.
• Assess the suitability of family members and connected persons to care for children.
• Work with children, families, carers, legal professionals, and partners through the assessment process.
• Contribute to permanence planning through evidence-based assessments and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate case records in line with statutory requirements and local procedures.
• Participate in team meetings, supervision, and service development activities.
