Caritas Recruitment is partnering with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council to recruit an experienced Children's Senior Social Worker for the Fostering Service as a Supervising Social Worker / Kinship Care Assessor.

This role involves completing Form K Assessments, supervising foster and kinship carers, and producing high-quality assessments and reports. Hybrid working and a 3-month initial contract with potential extension are on offer, with a competitive £35ph umbrella rate.

Qualifications

• Social Work England registration required.
• Recognised Social Work qualification.
• Minimum two years' fostering experience.
• Experience as Supervising Social Worker.
• Experience completing Form K Assessments.
• Strong assessment, analytical and report-writing skills.
• Knowledge of fostering legislation and National Minimum Standards.
• Passion for improving outcomes for children.

Responsabilités

• Complete Form K Assessments for kinship carers.
• Assess, support and supervise foster carers.
• Undertake high-quality assessments and reports.
• Provide training, guidance and support to carers.
• Promote wellbeing and best interests of looked-after children.
• Work with children’s social workers and multi-agency professionals.
• Ensure practice complies with fostering regulations and standards.
