Job summary

PA Consulting Group is seeking an Information Security Analyst for its Security Operations Centre. The role involves monitoring security across SIEM/EDR, investigating alerts, and proactively hunting threats to protect PA's technology estate.

You will develop detections, playbooks and dashboards; support forensics and post-incident reviews; and contribute to vulnerability management and risk-based guidance. Hybrid work is available with 2–3 days in the office.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in a SOC, incident response or related security role.
• Strong investigation, log analysis and correlation across multiple telemetry sources.
• Experience using SIEM and EDR/XDR platforms to investigate alerts and support containment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate security alerts across SIEM, EDR/XDR, email security, cloud platforms, identity, network security and DLP tooling.
• Triage events, determine scope, coordinate containment and remediation, maintain investigation records.
• Perform threat hunting using threat intel and attacker techniques relevant to PA.
• Develop detections, use cases, dashboards and playbooks to improve coverage.
• Support forensic analysis, malware and phishing analysis and post-incident reviews as required.
• Analyse threat intel, vulnerabilities and advisories to assess PA exposure and advise actions.
• Support vulnerability management through reporting and prioritisation with asset owners.
• Carry out security checks and provide risk-based guidance to the business.
• Contribute to security improvement projects and reporting.
• Participate in on-call rota for high-severity incidents.
