Job summary

CGI Group Inc. is seeking a Cyber Security SOC Engineer to maintain and enhance SOC platforms across cloud and on-prem environments. You will own technical challenges, improve resilience and introduce automation that strengthens security operations.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Linux systems, Windows environments and security monitoring tooling.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals including firewalls and basic device configuration.
• Proficient scripting for automation (Bash/PowerShell/Python).
• Awareness of SIEM architectures and SOC operations; ability to troubleshoot incidents.
• Ability to document procedures clearly and maintain technical records.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, secure and optimise Linux, Windows and SIEM platforms for SOC services.
• Monitor, investigate and resolve infrastructure issues to ensure security operations stability.
• Apply patches and lifecycle maintenance to reduce vulnerabilities.
• Support log collection, system integrations and threat visibility improvements.
• Develop automation scripts to streamline tasks and improve efficiency.
• Configure network changes and basic Fortinet/firewall adjustments as needed.
• Contribute to SOC infrastructure projects aligned with service requirements.
• Collaborate with analysts and engineers to share knowledge and improve delivery.
• Document operational procedures and configuration records.
