Job summary

Bellrock Consulting seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to deliver high-quality cost consultancy and commercial management across a diverse portfolio of construction and property projects, predominantly for public sector clients. You will lead commercial delivery, manage client relationships, mentor juniors, and ensure projects meet budgets, programmes and quality standards.

Working within Bellrock Consulting on a London hybrid basis, you will provide strategic advice throughout the project

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Chartered MRICS or working towards chartership.
• Significant consultancy QS experience across multiple sectors.
• Strong knowledge of cost planning, procurement, contract administration and commercial management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial delivery of construction and property projects within the public sector.
• Prepare and oversee cost plans, feasibility studies and financial appraisals.
• Provide strategic commercial advice throughout all project stages.
• Prepare tender documentation and procurement strategies compliant with public procurement regulations.
• Lead tender evaluations and provide procurement recommendations to clients.
• Administer contracts including JCT and NEC forms.
• Manage budgets, cost reporting, forecasting and financial control.
• Assess contractor valuations, variations, and final accounts.
• Identify commercial risks and develop mitigation strategies for clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted adviser.
• Lead meetings with clients, contractors and project teams to provide clear commercial direction.
• Mentor and develop Graduate and Quantity Surveyors.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities with clients.
• Ensure work aligns with Bellrock quality standards and professional guidance.
