Job summary

Employment Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Senior Planning Engineer to join a leading consultancy supporting major nuclear programmes. You will develop and maintain complex project schedules and provide accurate planning and performance information to help delivery.

The role requires strong Project Controls experience and expertise in Primavera P6, with exposure to regulated sectors. You will work closely with Project Managers and senior stakeholders to anticipate issues and keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in project planning and scheduling.
• Strong background in Project Controls and Primavera P6.
• Experience in regulated environments (nuclear/defence/energy/infrastructure) preferred.
• Ability to work with Project Managers and senior stakeholders to identify issues and keep projects on track.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with scope, cost, risk and project objectives.
• Analyse critical paths, float, constraints and schedule performance, identifying potential delays and recommending appropriate recovery actions.
• Monitor project progress, maintain Integrated Master Schedules and provide accurate reporting against key milestones and KPIs.
• Support Project Managers with planning, forecasting, change control and Earned Value Management (EVM) across complex work packages.
• Provide planning leadership across projects, supporting and mentoring junior planners while working closely with wider Project Controls teams.
