Job summary

Cornerstone (Aberdeen) is seeking a Payroll Lead to shape the payroll and pension service across Scotland's trusted social care charity. You will lead a team delivering accurate, on-time payroll for around 1,800 colleagues while ensuring strong controls and regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the Finance function, you will develop processes, provide expert guidance on PAYE/RTI, and use insights to drive continuous improvement across systems and data quality.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing end-to-end payroll and pension for a large organisation.
• Deep knowledge of PAYE, RTI, NI and automatic enrolment.
• Experience coaching and developing payroll staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll and pension delivery monthly.
• Develop and support Payroll Team with a positive, accountable environment.
• Ensure compliance, accurate reconciliations and timely submissions.
• Provide data analytics and insights to leadership.
