Job summary

Sports Interactive in London is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to advance the match AI and simulation engine. You will work on AI decision-making, pathing, and game state management across multiple projects and platforms.

You will refactor to modern architectures, build in-house debugging tools, and collaborate with designers, QA, and production to drive features and a robust match experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of professional experience using C++ as the main language.
• Experience designing and developing game AI systems and simulation paradigms.
• Hands-on work with behaviour trees, finite state machines, or similar techniques.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem solving abilities.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, extend, improve, and maintain our match simulation codebase, workflows, and tools.
• Design and implement game AI systems for match agents and their tactical behaviours.
• Refactor AI-driven systems into modern, maintainable architectures.
• Build and maintain debugging and visualisation tools for rapid iteration.
• Collaborate with designers, QA, producers, and other engineering teams.
• Contribute to long-term roadmaps and new feature planning.
• Explore new simulation technologies and architectural patterns.
• Ensure deterministic simulation across platforms.
