Job summary

Thought Machine is seeking a Software Engineer to design and implement end-to-end features across the stack, delivering secure, scalable solutions with a strong focus on user experience.

You will own components from backend services to frontend interfaces, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and translate customer requirements into deliverables. London-based, onsite three days a week, with potential for four days and a financial allowance.

Qualifications

• Experience with React and TypeScript.
• Proficiency in writing REST APIs and services.
• Experience in building modern web applications.
• Ability to write well-tested, clean code.
• Experience with automated tests integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end features across the stack, including web applications and backend services.
• Ensure your solutions are delivered with security, performance, scale, and user experience in mind.
• Write automated unit, integration, acceptance tests, etc.
• Interface with other engineering teams to ensure that features are added in a structured and coherent way.
• Managing and debugging your features from testing environments to production.
• Translating customer requirements into a clear plan that can be delivered via tasks.
• Collaborating as part of a cross-functional team of backend, front-end, and full-stack engineers.
