Job summary

DWP Digital is hiring a Senior Front-End Developer to lead the development of reusable front-end patterns and code libraries, shaping the technical direction of the Design System and ensuring accessible, user-centred services.

You will mentor teams, drive high-quality front-end delivery, and promote best practices across government digital services in a hybrid role across multiple hubs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing accessible, user-centred interfaces that meet WCAG 2.2 standards.
• Strong experience integrating front-end with back-end services and other systems.
• Experience providing technical leadership and establishing standards across teams.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary agile teams delivering digital products.
• Passion for coaching and mentoring and fostering inclusive learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of reusable front-end patterns, components and code libraries.
• Build, release, maintain and support front-end products and code packages.
• Champion accessibility and ensure WCAG 2.2 AA alignment.
• Mentor colleagues and engage with engineering and user-centred design communities.
• Identify and manage technical constraints and contribute to government frameworks.
