Job summary

Card Factory (Wakefield Studio) is seeking a creative designer to lead design projects across exciting product ranges. You'll blend creative thinking with commercial awareness to deliver on-brand concepts from brief to final art.

Working with cross-functional teams and suppliers, you’ll shape layouts, typography and visual communication, with strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. This role is based in Wakefield, with two days in the studio each week.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in product or creative design within a fast-paced commercial environment.
• Strong eye for design, layout, typography and visual communication.
• Strong understanding of consumer insights and market trends.

Responsibilities

• Bringing fresh ideas to life by designing exciting products, ranges and creative concepts that meet customer, brand and commercial goals.
• Taking ownership of smaller design projects and style guides, from the first brief through to final delivery.
• Using your creative flair, technical knowledge and awareness of market trends to spot opportunities and raise the quality of our work.
• Work closely with teams across the business, as well as suppliers and print partners, to keep projects running smoothly and on time.
• Share ideas, review creative work and give supportive feedback that helps the wider design team grow.
• Solid experience in product or creative design within a fast-paced commercial environment within the Greeting Card industry.
• Confident developing products, ranges and creative concepts, with a great eye for design, layout, typography and visual communication.
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
