Job summary

Octad Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a senior Delphi developer to own and evolve a large, enterprise-grade application used by clients globally. You will combine hands-on coding with mentoring and team leadership, shaping architecture and guiding delivery.

The role is hybrid with Monday and Wednesday in the office; you’ll mentor engineers, drive best practices in secure coding and QA, and partner with QA, infrastructure and business users to deliver major modernization projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' commercial Delphi (XE2, XE10+)
• 10+ years' Transact-SQL / MS SQL Server
• 3+ years' .NET C# ideally
• Demonstrable experience mentoring developers and/or leading technical teams
• Experience with legacy, undocumented systems
• Agile/Waterfall/hybrid delivery experience
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance a mission-critical Delphi application; diagnose and resolve complex defects
• Act as technical mentor - coaching developers, sharing knowledge, raising team capability
• Lead on planning, estimating and reviewing development work
• Guide best practice on secure coding, documentation and QA
• Liaise with business users, QA and infrastructure teams as senior technical contact
• Contribute technical direction to modernisation and transition projects
