Job summary

Arm in Cambridge is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the CPU verification team. You will build and refine simulation-based environments for future CPU IP, collaborating closely with design and verification groups to influence both design and verification decisions.

You will apply modern verification methodologies to address complex problems, improve coverage, and push the boundaries of CPU verification, shaping technology used in billions of devices worldwide.

Qualifications

• Experience building verification environments for sophisticated RTL designs.
• Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and scripting languages (Python/Perl/Tcl).
• Understanding of the complete verification process from test planning to closure.
• Ability to understand complex specs and translate into verification scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership for verification in a CPU area, from unit testbench to full verification approach.
• Deliver functional verification to agreed quality standards and schedules.
• Develop test plans, verification strategies and coverage goals.
• Collaborate with project leads on planning, scheduling and quality checkpoints.
• Use data-driven analysis to assess verification progress and product quality.
• Contribute to verification methodology and productivity improvements.
• Investigate and drive root-cause analysis of issues found during verification.
