Job summary

AccessPay is seeking a Security Operations Engineer to join our Cyber Security team in the United Kingdom with a hybrid work model. You will monitor, detect and respond to security threats while continually improving security capabilities across cloud, endpoints, networks and applications.

Working with the Cyber Security Manager and Engineering teams, you will embed security in the SDLC, strengthen detection and response, and support a secure-by-design culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in Security Operations, Cyber Security or Information Security.
• Scripting skills in Python or PowerShell to build automations.
• Knowledge of SAST/DAST/SCA/SBOM and security testing methods.
• Knowledge of SIEM, vulnerability management and incident response.
• Understanding of ISO 27001, PCI DSS, SOC 2, Cyber Essentials or SWIFT CSP.
• Excellent written and spoken communication across teams.
• Experience with cloud security, CTEM and AI-enabled security tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and continually improve security operations across cloud, endpoint, network and apps.
• Lead investigation, triage and response to security incidents to minimise risk.
• Develop and optimise detection rules, automations and tooling for threat detection.
• Work with Engineering to embed security throughout the software lifecycle.
• Coordinate vulnerability management from scanning to remediation and reporting.
• Explore AI-powered tooling to strengthen detection and efficiency.
