Job summary

Cynergy Bank is seeking a Security Operations Engineering Manager to elevate our cyber incident response and security operations across cloud-first banking platforms. You will identify threats, coordinate response efforts and partner with architecture and engineering to strengthen defenses.

Hybrid work in London, with a focus on SIEM/XDR optimization, detection engineering and secure development practices. This role drives resilience, incident readiness and strategic security decisions across

Qualifications

• Experience in cyber security, security operations or incident response in regulated environments.
• Experience with cloud security across Azure/AWS/Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of SIEM, XDR and security monitoring technologies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the response to cyber security incidents, containment, recovery and communication.
• Threat hunting and investigating suspicious activity across cloud and on‑premise environments.
• Monitoring security events using SIEM, XDR and cloud‑native security technologies.
• Developing detection capabilities, alerting and incident response playbooks.
• Reviewing solutions and architectures from a security perspective to ensure security by design.
• Supporting vulnerability management, penetration testing and remediation.
• Embedding security across the software development lifecycle with developers.
• Producing reports and insights into cyber threats, incidents and control effectiveness.
• Supporting cyber resilience, disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning.
