Robertson Stewart Ltd is seeking a commercially minded Sales Engineer to sell special purpose machinery from a base in the East Midlands. The role blends new business development with inbound enquiries, building long-term customer relationships and providing tailored engineering solutions.

You will work closely with engineering teams to translate requirements into proposals, present options to decision makers and secure orders.

Qualifications

• Experience selling special purpose machinery or capital equipment.
• Ability to solution sell and understand technical applications.
• Proven ability to develop and close orders.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business development and respond to inbound enquiries.
• Manage an established client base and maintain relationships.
• Develop proposals, present solutions and negotiate terms.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to tailor machinery to customer needs.
