Ecology by Design, a growing ecological consultancy in the UK, is seeking a Commercial Sales Support Coordinator. You will connect clients with our ecology team, coordinate quotations and proposals, and own CRM processes while supporting bids and tenders.

This role focuses on converting opportunities into wining propositions, not cold sales, with growth potential in business development and marketing. You will liaise with project managers and ecologists to gather pricing, scope, and resources,

Qualifications

• Experience in sales/commercial coordination, bids, proposals or business development.
• Knowledge of ecology, environmental consultancy or planning sector.
• Confident with clients and senior colleagues.
• Experience using a CRM or similar system.
• Strong written communication and proposal-writing skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with pricing and commercial information.
• Proactive, relationship-focused approach.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate inquiries, quotations and fee proposals from initial request through to submission and follow-up.
• Prepare proposals and gather technical scope, pricing and resourcing information from the ecology team.
• Support larger bids, tenders, frameworks, PQQs and supplier registrations.
• Take ownership of the CRM, maintaining accurate client and opportunity information.
• Follow up outstanding quotations and opportunities by phone and email.
• Research prospective clients, organisations and project opportunities.
• Support targeted outreach to new, existing and lapsed clients.
• Track enquiries, conversion rates, quote turnaround times and sources of new work.
• Help improve and automate commercial, quotation and administrative processes.
