Job summary

isepglobal is seeking a Consultant Ecologist to support an expanding portfolio spanning residential, biodiversity net gain, habitat restoration and local authority projects. You will work with experienced ecologists and project managers, delivering field surveys through reporting while developing technical and commercial skills.

Hybrid working models and a strong emphasis on wellbeing and career development are offered, with a broad project portfolio across the South East and ongoing mentoring

Qualifications

• Degree in Ecology or related field.
• Experience in ecological consultancy or survey work.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Good understanding of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy.
• Experience delivering ecological surveys and assessments.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Passion for ecology and collaborative approach.
• Full UK driving licence and vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Undertake protected species and habitat surveys.
• Produce high-quality technical reports (PEAs, EcIAs, species surveys).
• Assist with project management activities.
• Support planning and development projects.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities and stakeholders.
• Contribute to Biodiversity Net Gain and habitat enhancement projects.
• Support junior team members as appropriate.
