Job summary

Altum Consulting is seeking a hands-on Systems Analyst to support a finance systems migration in London with hybrid working. The role focuses on hands-on system, data and integration work, not project management, delivering practical technical support to embed the new finance environment.

You will work with JSON/XML, advanced Excel (Power Query/macros) and APIs, helping cleanse and migrate data while collaborating with Finance and project teams to resolve issues quickly.

Qualifications

• Hands-on finance systems experience required.
• Strong JSON and XML skills.
• Advanced Excel, including Power Query and macros.
• Sage Intacct experience is highly desirable.
• Experience with APIs and system integrations.
• Data cleansing and data management experience.
• Experience administering accounting/finance systems.
• PS Financials / IRIS Financials experience advantageous.
• A part-qualified accounting background would be beneficial.
• Strong communication and training skills.
• Able to work at pace and get into technical detail.

Responsibilities

• Support the ongoing finance systems migration and associated activity.
• Assist with finance system administration and configuration.
• Work hands-on with integrations, APIs and data flows.
• Write and work with JSON and XML.
• Support data management, cleansing and migration activities.
• Use advanced Excel, including Power Query and macros.
• Troubleshoot system and data issues.
• Provide practical support and training to users.
• Work closely with Finance and the wider project team to resolve issues and priorities.
