Job summary

Firmus Energy in Northern Ireland is seeking a Revenue Protection Assistant to join the Billing Department at Mallusk. You will help protect revenue, ensure accurate customer billing, and support debt recovery and data analysis activities under the Revenue Protection Lead.

The role offers exposure to billing, data analysis, customer accounts and revenue assurance, with hybrid working after training and attractive benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in a numeric or business-related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to analyse, interpret and process large volumes of information accurately.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently to manage workloads.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high accuracy and customer service.
• Experience in the utilities sector or a regulated industry.
• Knowledge of debt recovery, customer accounts or revenue assurance processes.
• Experience analysing customer accounts, billing or consumption data.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high standard of customer service for revenue protection enquiries.
• Respond to customer queries and complaints per procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Complete debt recovery and credit management activities per Revenue Protection policy.
• Contact customers to follow up on pay plans and escalations.
• Analyse consumption data to determine refunds or back charges.
• Process customer refunds, site works requests, invoices and related Revenue Protection administration.
• Collaborate with Billing and Customer Service teams to improve processes and controls.
• Contribute to development and implementation of Revenue Protection procedures and best practices.
• Support additional activities as required by Revenue Protection Lead and Billing Manager.
