Job summary

MS Amlin is seeking a Reinsurance Pricing Analyst in London to join a team of seven within a broader pricing function. The role offers hybrid working and reports to the Reinsurance Pricing Actuary, supporting pricing across Property, Casualty and Specialty lines.

You will collaborate with underwriters, develop data-driven pricing, and help optimise profitability through robust modelling. The position supports actuarial qualification and cross-class initiatives.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in maths, economics or actuarial science (or numerate discipline).
• Actuarial qualification path is in progress or planned.
• Experience in Pricing, Reinsurance or Insurance classes is required.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel for modelling and data analysis.
• Proficiency with SQL and VBA for data manipulation and automation.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to manage priorities under pressure.
• Able to work with complex data, statistics and actuarial modelling.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with underwriters to assess risk and optimise pricing strategies.
• Produce data-driven pricing recommendations and present to senior stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvements across pricing processes, models and strategies.
• Assist with cross-class activities like quarterly KPIs and inflation reviews.
• Analyse external and internal data to build pricing models and improve profitability.
• Provide insights for Pricing Portfolio Reviews and relate to portfolio profitability.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships within Pricing and other departments.
• Develop management information for analysis and reporting.
• Collaborate with IT and model developers on pricing model development.
• Contribute to automation initiatives to streamline workflows.
