Job summary

MS Amlin is seeking a Reinsurance Pricing Analyst in London to join a seven-strong pricing team. You will collaborate with underwriters across Property, Casualty and Specialty, developing data-driven pricing insights to support profitable underwriting.

The role covers modelling, KPI reviews, and cross-class initiatives, with a hybrid working pattern. You will progress toward actuarial qualification while contributing to automation and process improvements across the Pricing function.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate in maths, economics or actuarial science.
• Working towards an actuarial qualification.
• Experience in Pricing, Reinsurance or Insurance classes.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Proven ability to work with complex data, statistical analysis, and actuarial modelling.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with underwriters to assess risk and optimise pricing strategies.
• Produce data-driven pricing recommendations and present to senior stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvements across pricing processes, models and strategies.
• Support cross-class activities like quarterly pricing KPIs and inflation reviews.
• Analyse data to create pricing models that improve profitability.
• Provide insights in Pricing Portfolio Reviews and advise on risk quality.
• Develop relationships with Pricing team, Underwriters, and departments reporting to the Chief Actuary.
• Support management with MI for analysis and reporting.
• Work with IT and other teams in Pricing Model Development.
• Contribute to automation initiatives to streamline workflows.
• Pursue actuarial qualification towards becoming fully qualified.
