Job summary

Nuffield Health Cardiff and Vale Hospitals is seeking a Rehabilitation Specialist to deliver our rehabilitation programmes across digital and in-person formats. You will lead 12-week programmes, facilitate live stream and on-site group sessions, and guide participants through goal setting and self-directed activity.

The role requires a Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification, IT proficiency, and strong communication. A BSc in Sports Rehabilitation is desirable.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification is essential.
• Excellent IT skills and strong English and numeracy skills.
• BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Organise and run rolling 12-week rehabilitation programmes.
• Deliver live stream and in person group exercise classes for participants with varying abilities.
• Promote self-directed activity using on-demand classes and journals to aid self-management.
• Calibrate exercises and intensities based on progress and outcomes.
• Identify deterioration and follow escalation processes with timely reporting and data capture.
• Engage in 1-to-1 weekly coaching calls to set short- and long-term goals and provide wellbeing support.
