Job summary

Poolhall Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to own projects across a varied portfolio. The role offers autonomy, home-working with site visits, and some office days. You will drive commercial performance and contract administration on mixed-use, retail, and industrial schemes.

You should have proven QS experience, NEC3/NEC4 familiarity, and strong cost-management skills. The position provides clear progression within a growing business with regional exposure.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction or contracting environments.
• Strong understanding of NEC3/NEC4 forms of contract.
• Experience across civils and build phases of projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial function across multiple live projects from pre-construction to final account.
• Liaise with subcontractors on contractual agreements and cost control.
• Prepare and administer NEC3/NEC4 contracts and manage valuations, variations, and cost reporting.
• Work with project managers and site teams to maintain financial control and deliver within budget.
